| In Petonen Community Centre you can meet people, participate in various activities, clubs and organisations (most are free) or simply relax and read the daily newspaper. Free courses sometimes organised.
In our Computer Room we have 9 computers that are connected to the internet and have modern software installed (e.g. word-processing. spreadsheets & image processing, use 2 scanners, use a card reader or "burn" data to CDs. All these are free to use. For a small fee, you can use our new high quality colour and black & white laser printer / copier to make normal printouts (up to A3) or to enlarge / reduce photographs and print them on photographic paper (up to A4). It also possible to send faxes to Finland or abroad. Russian and Arabic keyboards are available for use. In our cosy meeting room you can participate in various groups, clubs and associations that meet there regularly (more details of these are on the page REGULAR ACTIVITIES).
You can even form your own group or club!
The room is free to reserve and refreshments (e.g. coffee and tea) can be ordered beforehand. In our Kitchen you can relax, read the daily newspapers and magazines,and meet people. You may even gain new insights into life.
We receive two daily Finnish papers "Savon Sanomat" and "Helsingin Sanomat". There are also various issues of various popular Finnish magazines as well as some magazines/newspapers in English and Russian.
We also have a sewing machine that is also free to use (please supply your own materials).
Our friendly and skilled staff is ready to offer you help with the equipment and answer enquiries about our other activities.
